Jackie Kerr Recruitment are proud to be supporting this market leading specialist within the geotechnical site investigations for offshore renewables, offshore oil & gas, nearshore civil infrastructure, scientific research and offshore mineral exploration. Due to continued growth our client is now seeking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer to provide the Project Managers with geotechnical support during the day to day running of a project.

Senior Project Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Engineering with ongoing reporting deliverables
• Project technical supervision and final QA of geotechnical data
• Technical input to tenders
• Client interaction on a technical level
• Assisting the Project Manager in the project lifecycle including technical handovers to closeout of reporting
• A firm understanding of basic and advanced laboratory testing and the correct testing practises
• Liaise with the clients to obtain approval of lab testing schedules and subsequent tracking of ongoing testing regimes
• Production and/or reviewing of pre and post fieldwork reporting
• Generation of site characterisation and design soil parameters and profiles
• Performance of geotechnical engineering including bearing capacity calculations, piled foundation design, liquefaction assessment and pile driving analyses
• Awareness of industry standards and ongoing development of company engineering capabilities
• Participate in any health and safety talks, meetings or training
• Reviewing Geotechnical Engineering reporting and Engineering
• Mentoring Geotechnical Engineers and Project Engineers
• Any other duties deemed necessary, which are within the bounds of the incumbent’s competence and function

To be considered for this position you must have knowledge of Geotechnical engineering.
