J-MARK Hiring for Design Engineer Full Time

J-Mark Products is a manufacturing company providing products to the automotive industry. We specialize in contract manufacturing of vehicle trims, steps, ground effects, emblems, front grills and protection kits. Our customers include General Motors, Ford, Stellantis, LUCID Motors, Rivian motors, etc. We are located in Baldwin, WI. General Description:

Work as a key contributor to J-Mark’s engineering team in providing automotive customers service including sales, estimating, design, project management, manufacturing, and delivery.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Modify and create vehicle math files for production vehicles and/or accessories

Read and understand math files and be able to analyze issues that may cause problems for manufacturing and overall durability

Estimate and prepare information packages for vendor request for quote

Plan the manufacturing process for a new vehicle component or part

Develop solutions for packaging that protect inventory shipments and meet cost targets

Provide technical consultation internally to production and assembly staff

Select vendors to meet performance, costing, and fit specifications

Manage multiple projects in preparation for PPAP

Create BOMs and finalize component selections

Create and maintain technical documents to include product specifications, detailed unit drawings, and drawing files (CAD, PDF, and other documentation)

Occasionally attend meetings with 1-2 day travel to meet customers

Participate in value engineering or process improvement projects to continually improve the cost efficiency of design and manufacturing processes

Job Qualifications:

2 year associate engineering degree or Bachelor of Science Degree within an engineering discipline preferred

Engineering internship experience preferred

Exhibit a strong mechanical aptitude

Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similiar software preferred

Familiarity with MS Office, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,660.60 – $79,938.00 per year
