The continued growth of our business has created an exciting opening for an energetic and ambitious Finance Business Manager, to lead our finance team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and maturing financial governance and the supporting systems commensurate with our current growth trajectory. The candidate should be experienced and familiar with a range of financial systems and platforms.

To excel in this role, you will need to have a finance background and industry recognised accounting qualifications, experienced in managing people and IT literate, especially around accounting systems, such as SAGE.

Role Summary:

• Owning all financial and accountancy matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts and monthly/quarterly/annual taxation compliance, presentation of management information and tracking KPIs
• Advising the Senior Management Team on all matters relating to financial performance
• Supporting the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) through creation & development of an overarching financial business plan
• Supporting the SLT on monitoring of sales, gross and net margin targets and challenging the business on overhead efficiency.
• Forging a strong relationship with our banking partner and ensuring they provide VFM and a viable level of service
• Overseeing the company’s finance IT system and ensuring it remains fit for purpose
• Working from home with travel to client sites

Core Skills:

• Must have experience in working or managing a finance function or team
• Must have experience of engaging with clients and the supply chain in all matters of finance
• Must be organised, a ‘self-starter’, and ambitious to make a positive impact to the business
• Must have experience and detailed knowledge of contemporary accounting IT systems, such as SAGE.

Essential to role:

• Industry recognised accountancy qualifications

Nice to haves (Optional):

• Experience of working with a professional services business
• Fully conversant with the SAGE accountancy software system
• Motivating and influencing staff to adopt new ways of working

Location:

• Home based but willing to travel to either Bristol or Glasgow 1 day per week
