ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Working for our Client based in Southern Sydney, your multi-skilled support will be crucial for the Finance Business Unit. Covering approximately 50 square kilometres, your Council is seeking to build and expand your team with individuals who can bring value and a strong work ethic to the team.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

An initial 6 month contract. Reporting to the Financial Strategy and Reporting Manager, you will be supporting the Finance Business Unit in the form of accurate, timely, compliant and transparent financial information and analysis.

DUTIES.

• Ensure monthly financial reporting deliverables are completed within deadlines
• Undertake adhoc financial analysis
• Periodic reviews of internal control systems
• Assist in preparation of Council’s Annual Financial Statements and Quarterly Financial Reviews
• Support financial operations in the bank reconciliation process

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Currently undertaking or completed a degree in Commerce, Accounting or related discipline
• Experience working in Local Council (desirable)
• Strong work ethic and an attitude to develop skillset
• Accountable and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
