Summary : The Distribution & Logistics Manager is responsible for maintaining good relationships with vendors in a way that positions Gaylord to ensure a cost-effective strategy of shipping out our custom product on time to meet and exceed customer and business needs.

This role also requires leadership to all personnel in the Shipping / Receiving and Crating department, to include three direct s.

Essential Duties : + Coordinate with production staff and end customers to ensure on time and cost-effective delivery of goods+ Work with freight brokers and forwarders to find the most efficient and cost effective method of shipping product (LTL, FTL, premium etc.

Coordinate with production operations to package and cube freight for most efficient trailer utilization+ Prepare necessary documentation for international shipments and arrange appropriate freight needs+ Coordinate freight with our 3rd party Canadian manufacturing partner+ Monthly ing of shipment vs freight dollar efficiency+ Foster, communicate, and exemplify the values of ITW;

act with integrity and trust, operate with simplicity, treat everyone with respect, take shared risk.+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Education – Experience – Other Qualifications : + Minimum 3-5 years freight, logistics and transportation experience to include international shipping and trade compliance+ 4 year degree in business, supply chain / operations mgt.

or equivalent experience+ Understanding of freight rates, schedules and tariffs+ Freight brokerage or customs broker experience a plus+ Hands on self-starter+ Excellent problem-solving and follow-thru skills+ Team player with ability to communicate at all levels including external customers+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as related to the job.
