The role

We have a new opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our London based team as Head of Talent Management and Engagement. This role is offered on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the HR Director and sitting within our Resourcing and Development teams, your key responsibility will be managing talent and succession planning and engagement across ITV.

Talent & Succession Planning

This role is responsible for all aspects of talent; from understanding the breadth and diversity of our succession plans, identifying and developing our high potentials to enable them to move into more senior positions in accelerated timeframes to building out bespoke development for identified successors. As such the role is also responsible for the engagement and management of our executive coaches – working with individuals to understand their coaching requirements as well as managing our cadre of external executive coaches.

Ensuring that we report on our people strategy and progress against our key people objectives, to shareholders, the Plc and Management Boards is also an integral part of this role. From providing insight into the actions taken, to highlighting and addressing our key people risks and monitoring and evaluating our culture, the role holder is responsible for bringing the people strategy to life for key stakeholders

Engagement

This role is also responsible for ITV’s engagement survey strategy – from designing and delivering full engagement and pulse surveys, providing analysis and insights to support action planning and collaborating with the HR Business Partners to build out action plans across the business. This role also works closely with the internal comms team to deliver an ongoing comms and engagement plan – ensuring we respond to the results with meaningful and sustainable actions. This role also collaborates with our Head of Data Insights on key insights to be drawn out.

Key responsibilities

Leading a high performing team of 6 direct reports to design and deliver of a number of key R&D initiatives and processes:

• High Potential and other talent programmes
• Talent & Succession Planning – partnering with our HR Business Partner teams to build out robust succession plans across the business
• Drafting and preparation of People Reports for Plc Board/Nominations Committee
• Preparation and drafting of people reports for the annual report
• Engagement strategy; surveys / pulse and team surveys – analysis, insights and actions to drive increased levels of engagement
• Building internal capability to support More than TV strategy
• Management of senior level bespoke development – executive coaching, psychometric insights and 360 feedback
• Partner with HRD’s to develop organisational wide talent retention and development initiatives
• Partner with divisional HRD’s to identify and develop individual development plans for key talent in line with organisation strategy
• Work across broader Resourcing & Development and HR projects/activities as required.

Minimum criteria

• Extensive experience in design and delivery of a talent management strategy – with a focus on identification of high potentials, successor development and use of best practice to continue to evolve approach to talent management
• Strong stakeholder management – Partnering with HR and Business stakeholders to drive talent & engagement through the organisation
• Ability to disseminate information in a impactful & concise way, provide the right level of information and narrative relevant to the audience
• Strategic thinking skills
• Experience of writing reports & presentations for PLC & Management Boards
