We are looking for a Finance & Accounts Assistant to support the established finance team of 4. The role is offered as a training contract with the individual responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and preparation of payments. They will also support the finance team with financial and management reporting and adhoc analysis, and with systems and process improvement initiatives. The individual will receive study leave and financial support towards their accountancy professional development,

This is a permanent role at our Canary Wharf office but with flexibility for some hybrid remote working. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance & Accounts Assistant who can display ownership and adaptability within their role

Key Interfaces: Finance Team, Budget Holders, Sales Team, Suppliers, Customers, Banks & Vendor Manager

The Role will Involve:

Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable Ledger:

• Setting up and maintaining customer accounts on the ERP system, Acumatica
• Processing of customer purchase orders and maintaining the purchase ledger
• Raising and coding of sales invoices
• Weekly credit control, liaising with customers regarding statements, queries and late payments
• Maintain and update the recurring invoicing schedule

Maintaining an accurate Accounts Payable Ledger:

• Setting up and maintaining vendor accounts on the ERP system
• Processing vendor and consultant invoices
• Ensuring prompt payments of expense claims, supplier and consultant invoices
• Liaising with budget holders to obtain invoice authorisation
• Managing corporate credit card reporting by sending out statements, collecting and posting receipts
• Payment processing using NatWest Bankline App and weekly BACS payment schedules
• Dispatching remittance advices
• Daily management of the accounts email inbox and physical Finance mail in the office

Cash-flow and Treasury reporting:

• Daily posting & reconciliation of cash receipts and payments to Acumatica
• Prepare and send daily cash summary to top management

Management Accounting activities:

• Assist in the month-end reconciliation of the balance sheet
• Month end Journal posting
• Assist in the preparation of management accounting reports for budget holders
• Adhoc support the Finance Team as required

Financial control activities:

• Assistance with audit requests
• Assistance with report building
• Automation of recurring tasks in Acumatica
• Assisting with ad-hoc project work
• Liaising with the wider business team to resolve queries

We are Looking for Someone With:

• Relevant finance experience either through relevant work experience, or from their degree
• Experience of data entry, sales & purchase ledger, and use of ERP systems (desirable)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Well organised and self-starting
• Good communication skills, and the confidence to liaise with colleagues, customers and vendors on behalf of Finance and ITC Secure
• Numerate and confident in manipulating data
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
• A positive can-do attitude
• Has a growth mindset and a desire to learn and develop professionally

Working Hours: Normal working hours are 7.5 hours a day – Monday – Friday.

Working Location: This role is based in our Canary Wharf office, which is operating a hybrid working model. This consists of 2 days in the office and the rest remote.
