Looking for candidates due to a POTENTIAL project in NL, Canada in the field of IT Project Management for the Health industry and preferably with HL7 background. The work is to be done remotely within Canada, by Canadian residents or Citizens, with some potential travels onsite.
Requirements:
As an IT Project Manager you will be expected to:
• Provide direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization and various stakeholder groups.
• Developing, managing, and reporting on schedules, costs, resources, risks, and project objectives at various levels of the organization. Leading project teams to meet objectives and stakeholders’ expectations and providing direction and clear communication of the vision for project success.
• Developing and executing risk management and mitigation plans. Balancing competing goals of project stakeholders to achieve consensus on project outcomes while maximizing business value of the project.
• Collaborating with stakeholders from various health organizations throughout the province to ensure successful change management and adoption in addition to a successful transition to operations.
• Other related work as required
Qualifications
• Since you’ll be working to implement IT projects, a broad understanding of IT processes is required. This includes, but is not limited to, IT infrastructure, security, systems, networks, cloud computing, applications, and programming. Knowledge of, or experience with HL7 message standards and integrations would be considered an asset.
• At least 10 years of experience within the Canadian healthcare sector.
General Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or another related field.
• Project Management Certification or Designation
• Minimum five years’ direct experience in project management, preferably supplemented with demonstrated experience in:
- o Project Plan development and execution
- o Leading Large Scale Projects and teams
- o Quality Assurance and testing methodologies
- o Experience in Digital Health related projects
• Recent experience in the delivery of IT projects in the healthcare sector, advising, or working collaboratively with senior stakeholders (healthcare and clinical teams) would be an asset
• Ability to proactively anticipate and manage changes in project scope
• In-depth knowledge of both traditional and agile project management tools, techniques, and methods
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams in a matrix environment and engage diverse groups of stakeholders
• Strong awareness of privacy and confidentiality
• Proficiency in project management software tools
• Demonstrated equivalencies may be considered.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills; experience in stakeholder engagement sessions
• Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be a detail oriented, analytical and an independent thinker, and be able to focus on details in the midst of change
• Capable of managing to a deadline
• Strong written skills; able to compile and organize technical and non-technical information from a variety of sources
• Ability to balance multiple tasks
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project
• Knowledge of the Province’s health care system
