IT Governance Hiring for Software QA Job at Remote Full Time

We are searching for a software QA to join GRC International Group. The role will work closely with our established platforms development team to ensure that developed software functions as expected.
To do this effectively, quality assurance must be embedded throughout the development process. The successful candidate will therefore create and execute test plans, champion quality assurance, and guide the team to continually improve delivered software.
You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out structured, methodical testing of internally developed software to ensure that it is bug free and fit for purpose;
• Establishing and maintaining repeatable software test plans;

• Using creative, exploratory testing to simulate unplanned user behaviour to uncover unexpected bugs;
• Recreating reported user behaviour to determine the steps necessary to replicate issues; and
• Planning and executing testing, taking into account available resources, using a risk-based approach.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrable experience of structured software testing, and writing and maintaining test plans;

• Experience carrying out quality assurance activities throughout the full software development lifecycle; and
• Experience working in an Agile environment.

The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:

• Experience querying relational databases using SQL.
• Experience with web-automation test tools such as Selenium.

• Agile project management experience.
• Experience with scripting languages.

Remuneration: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)
