IT Governance Hiring for Management Accountant – May 2022 Job at Remote Full Time

Our established finance team is recruiting a management accountant. In this role you will be responsible for helping establish financial controls and delivering key financial data as part of improving the company’s overall financial reporting framework.

The key responsibilities include:

• Completing the monthly P&L and balance sheet on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis, commentary and reporting;
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolved;
• Ensuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results;
• Ensuring a high-quality, effective service is provided to all stakeholders for all accounting activity, working closely with other teams to provide excellent reporting and to support financial decision making; and
• Liaising with external professional advisors and assisting with year-end accounts/audit and tax requirements.

You will have:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified accountant.
• Strong technical background (either from public practice or a technical role within industry).
• Understanding of finance systems along with good IT skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills – particularly Excel.

It would be desirable if you also had any of the following, although these are not essential for the role:

• Working knowledge of the professional practices or consultancy environment.
• Background in working with or for rapid-growth organisations.
• Knowledge of accounting for overseas entities (US and Europe)

Remuneration: Up to £35,000 p.a. depending on experience
Basis: Full time/permanent
Location: Predominantly home based within the UK
