Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Package: 25 Days Holiday, Co Car/ Allowance (Grade 6), Contributory Pension

Environment: Major Civil Engineering/ Construction & Maintenance business

Location: Leeds, West Yorks

The company and group:

A true global business and a major player within the UK Civil Engineering & Infrastructure construction and maintenance sector supporting £multi-million flagship projects.

Summary:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will support a number of lucrative Highway related projects with the commercial activities in the pre and post tender phases of Projects.

The role requires accurate and timely commercial reports and accurate insight to the bid management and senior management team whilst monitoring contracts and reporting against the appropriate commercial targets.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting and overseeing assistant/trainee Quantity Surveyors
• Strong understanding of standard forms of contract such as NEC, FIDIC and JCT
• Understanding of financial and commercial processes
• Commercial Management and Contract Administration
• Planning & Programming
• Cost planning and pre-contract cost control
• Project/commercial management reporting
• Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates and Activity Schedules
• Management of interim and financial accounts
