We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, talented and inspiring classroom practitioner to teach Maths across all ability groups in KS3 and KS4.
This is a permanent post, suitable for an experienced teacher wishing to join a team of specialists who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement.
We are looking for candidates with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate our hardworking young pupils. We would welcome candidates with experience in teaching Maths background that can teach KS3 and KS4 to apply.

Job Purpose including main duties and responsibilities:
Teach Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. It is essential that the successful candidate should have a broad view of the curriculum and, as far as possible, have experience of teaching full range of ability. She will be expected to promote clubs and extracurricular activities in this area of the curriculum.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
A teacher of Maths should be a well-qualified teacher. She should be committed to developing Islamiyah’s provision for study in their subject for all students throughout their time at Islamiyah and be able to respond effectively to current issues concerning the curriculum, development and up-to-date teaching methods. She is expected to promote clubs and extracurricular activities.
MAIN TASKS
Maths teachers will undertake duties in accordance with the School Teachers
Pay and Conditions documentation and are responsible to the Headteacher, Executive Headteacher and the Teaching and Learning team for the following:
1. Ensuring that all teaching takes place within the framework of Islamiyah’s aims.
2. Setting objectives, preparing schemes of work and good quality learning materials appropriate to the needs of individual pupils.
3. Using a variety of teaching and learning techniques, to include class discussion, question and answer, group and individual simulation and re-enforcement, brain-storming, resource based learning, practical and experimental work, modelling, I.T. etc.
4. Using a variety of teaching and learning aids to include PowerPoint, film strips and interactive whiteboards, audio and video, I.T., curriculum support centre etc.
5. Establishing, assessment criteria within the framework of Islamiyah’s policy as well as maintaining appropriate records.
6. Setting and marking class and homework within the framework Islamiyah’s policies.
7. Keeping a class register and associated records. Inputting pupil performance data to KSM.
8. Ensuring the safety of students at all times to include not leaving classes unattended, maintaining order and control, vigilance during practical lessons, escorting students to assemblies or out of buildings during evacuation, punctuality when on duty, invigilation etc.
9. Setting work when absent.
10. Ensuring high standards of student work and behaviour in the classroom and adjacent corridors, to include high quality displays.
11. The identification of under-achieving students and the development of appropriate strategies to meet their specific needs in collaboration with Islamiyah’s SENCo.
12. Completion of such other duties or development work which may from time to time arise to support the school management team.
LOCATION
The post holder may be required to work at any location within the Masjid e Sajedeen Organisation, either on a temporary or permanent basis according to the operational needs of the School.
