PHP DEVELOPER
London | Hybrid Flex once/twice a month in office

Working with over 200 ‘Fortune 500 Brands’ this Educational Tech company are a specialist provider of online training in digital skills, specifically designed for global enterprises who are currently looking to grow their team developing innovative tailor -web applications.

You must have the ability to demonstrate a willingness to learn and have a strong belief in your potential. Ideally you primarily have PHP developer experience, and be interested in joining an Agile development team to promote best engineering practises within the team towards continuous delivery.

The Essentials

• Experience working predominantly as a PHP backend developer
• At least 4+ years of commercial PHP
• Experience writing modern OO codes and working with complex systems
• Good knowledge of design and implementation patterns
• Ability to design for modern internet infrastructure operation including consideration for metrics, logging, observability and automation
• Experience with REST API Architecture, designs and implementation
• Experience working with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong experience using testing tools for local development

Key Responsibilities

• Promoting best engineering practices within the team towards continuous delivery
• Proactively keep abreast of industry developments, skills and technologies and
• Share information, ideas and best practice with the team members towards continuous improvement
• Ability to des architectural discussions and promote best engineering practices within the team towards continuous delivery
• Partially responsible for the quality of the releases and their overall optimal operation
• Creates and maintains strong working relationships with members of the delivery team and wider business so that the overall function operates optimally

Desirable

• Experience using RabbitMQ
• Experience with Python or Go
• Passion for Edtech
• Exposure to DDD
