APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER

£30,000 +5-10% BONUS + SHAREOPTIONS +FLEXI WORKING

ISL have partnered up with Clue Computing to support them in recruiting for an Application Support Engineer to join their support team. (www.clue.co.uk).

They are used by various teams including police, government agencies, non-profits and private organisations. They have just closed a series A funding round and are now at the next phase of their growth!

Their IT Practice Area is a key part of their success and their clients include many large household name companies such as Amazon, Metropolitan Police, NHS, Oxfam International, Home Office to investigate a range of threats including corruption, fraud, organised crime, child abuse, insider threats, cybercrime, financial crime and much more.

Clue are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to be contributing to the continuous improvement of the service desk and be responsible for troubleshooting and solving software applications issues reported by their customers.

There is the option to work flexibly and in the majority from home – however, you will sometimes need to attend their Bristol office to support team development and to meet the needs of their service desk.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to standard ISMS

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support and resolve customer tickets within defined SLA’s

• Write SQL database scripts

• Deploy application updates to their SaaS customers

• Address end-user support issues quickly and efficiently

• Work closely as required with the customer success and development teams

Qualifications:

You will have significant previous experience of working as a support engineer and other areas that would be beneficial will include:

• Having at least 3 years of relevant commercial experience

• Able to be security vetted to level NPPV2 (Non-Police Personnel Vetting)

• SSO integration and configuration experience

• SQL databases, writing queries and scripts experience

• Be familiar with GDPR and industry best practice around data protection

Desired:

• Experience with DevOps, Octopus or similar

• Azure, AWS or other cloud services

• Experience with .NET, C#, or ASP.NET

• Software Testing background
