An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Finance Officer to join our Corporate, Governance & Financial Services (CGFS) directorate based in Isaac Region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Manager Rates and Accounts, this position is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance functions through the timely completion of regular and various tasks including processing transactions, reconciliations, reports and undertaking specific project work and tasks as directed. The areas of primary focus include rates, accounts payable and receivable and payroll.

• Salary $73,179.10 per annum (Level 3) + Locality Allowance
• Nominally 72.5 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday
• 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading
• Up to 13% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
• RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement

ABOUT YOU

• High level experience in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, is required.
• Competent in the use of accounting software.
• Experience utilising the TechnologyOne system and experience in a similar position would be highly advantageous.
• Well-developed administrative and numeracy skills and the capacity to maintain attention to detail.
• Whilst under general supervision, the ability to plan effectively and prioritise workload in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet multiple deadlines.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
