As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. We build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential.
This role will help us to do this by developing, implementing and running an efficient and confidential People advisory and administration process, including the management of associated data. We’re looking for someone who can juggle multiple priorities and projects, and offer a seamless HR Advisory Service to our colleagues. The ideal candidate will maximise the use of the HR and Recruitment systems to ensure the effective and confidential delivery of all People processes.
In this role, you will be responsible for
Being the first point of contact for all queries from colleagues, external candidates and service providers.
Provide advise & support to Managers on casework such as attendance, wellbeing, disciplinary, grievances, performance management, and flexible working.
Supporting colleagues in all aspects of the employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, exit interviews and related system administration
Produce standard KPI metrics on a monthly basis.
Promote and support our culture through our People Strategy and role model corporate behaviours
Be proactive in keeping up to date on new legislation and best practice relating to people and people management.
Undertake continual professional development (CPD) to ensure the continual improvement of People services.
We need people who are / have
Achieved or working towards Level 5 CIPD (or equivalent relevant experience.)
Experience working in a busy HR department.
Able to provide a generalist HR service in a customer focused environment.
Experience in working collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the business including dealing with queries from colleagues at all levels.
Knowledge of HR KPI/Analytics
Experience using HR systems (Cascade)
An understanding of current Employment Law
