Irvings Farm Fresh Ltd is Looking For Meat Processing / Packaging Assistant at Camrose County, AB Full Time

Irvings Farm Fresh Ltd is a small family run pork processing facility, with a retail store, located on our farm at Round Hill (20 mins NE of Camrose). We cut and process specialty pork products including fresh and smoked sausage, bacon, ham, and pork cuts. For our business to continue to grow we need to recruit for the following position:

MEAT PACKAGING / MEAT PROCESSING ASSISTANT

Full Time Permanent position

Duties will include:

• Assist with the preparation of wholesale and retail cuts of pork.
• Packaging / labelling / vacuum sealing of pork products
• Operating meat cutting and processing equipment and smokehouse.
• Implementation of approved sanitation program within facility
• Assist with equipment service / maintenance / cleaning
• Control of inventory, stock rotation, packing orders, shipping & receiving, record keeping.
• Maintain storage areas for dry goods, cooler and freezer. Rotate and label stock.
• Follow workplace food safety, health & safety policies and practices.
• Assist with customer enquires in retail store and telephone orders.

Position requirements:

• Experience / interest in production of meat products preferred.
• Training and/or knowledge of food safety and health & safety.
• Basic knowledge of math, weights and measures, with excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of working in the cold / lifting up to 50 lb / standing for long periods / doing repetitive work.
• Be a team player with passion, drive and dedication.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 30 – 35 per week

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
