Job Description

What you can expect in a typical day

This is a 3-6 month fixed term position that is designed to assist delivery drivers and technicians with labor intensive aspects of their job. They will be assisting with manual labor components as well as lifting, carrying, holding in place and retrieving/delivering items. By having a second person assist with jobs this increases efficiency provides a safer environment.

Your roles and responsibilities:

Working with the driver or technician in delivering product to residential and commercial customers or completing installation or maintenance work, by aiding with manual labour tasks.

Assist with pre and post trip inspections
Prepare the truck for equipment and maintenance and/or prepare the fuel hose for dispensing of product.
Deliver paperwork to customers.
Assist with daily shift report and all required paperwork
Other duties as required

Professional skills

Basic mathematical skills are necessary
Attention to detail is necessary
Strong safety focus required
Very physical work

Education and experience

High school diploma or G.E.D. required
Previous experience with field helper is considered an asset
