QC Engineer

IRS are an established recruitment business with more than 30 years involvement in heavy steel fabrication and installation.

This opportunity is for a QC Engineer with experience working within the Rail sector and have proven working experience on civil / rail engineering projects.

To control and ensure the steel fabrication using specialist 355 grade steel complies with all appropriate specifications from steel plate identification for each weld joint, compliance with the weld procedure to complete the weld with correctly approved welders and co-ordinating the visual and NDT inspection requirements giving each weld an individual composite record.

The successful candidate must have had a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar heavy steelwork fabrication using national and international standards and specifications.

The site scope is working on steelwork construction for the HS2 project within the Buckinghamshire area.

The work is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2022. Further information, including rates will be provided in due course. Currently, we are asking individuals to register their interest in this project.
