Iris Senior Living Hiring for CNA Memory Care at Edmond, OK Full Time

Iris Memory Care of Edmond is looking for CNAs to join our team! Our community is a freestanding memory care assisted living, where we provide specialized care for individuals coping with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Located off of Lake Hefner Parkway and 178th between Penn and May, our community is easy to access from anywhere in north Oklahoma City and Edmond.

Rate of pay for CNAs ranges starts at $16 per hour, based on experience. The shifts we have available are floor shifts, but if a team member has a higher certification like CMA or ACMA, the pay scale increases.

Specific Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing Resident services and other duties as assigned. Duties include personal services, activities of daily living, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, life enrichment, meal services, and other tasks as needed for Resident care and service delivery.

Primary Essential Job Duties:

• Adheres to and conveys philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for Residents.
• Assists with activities of daily living/ADL’s, environmental orientation, dining services, life enrichment programs, laundry and housekeeping, meal services, and other care services assigned, while encouraging self-care and independence.
• Receives and gives from the previous shift and to the next shift.
• Reviews and carries out task assignments with the Wellness Director/Designated Supervisor.
• Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities.
• Provides services as indicated on Resident assessment, task sheets, and service plans.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors.
• Observes problems, concerns, issues observed with Resident suites, the building, and the grounds and communicates them to the designated supervisor.
• Observes changes in Resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates them to the Wellness Director and/or Designated Supervisor.
• Offers comfort and support, emotionally and physically, to Residents.
• s Resident and staff concerns and/or issues to the Wellness Director and/or Executive Director, as designated.
• Assists with vital signs and weight monitoring monthly or more frequently as required for all Residents and completes all required documentation.
• Puts Resident Service First: Ensures that Residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
• Adheres to all established policies and procedures.
• Records Resident information as required.
• Assists with individual Resident and group social recreational activities.
• Follows the policies and procedures relating to Resident care and oversight of all health care related services.

Job Qualifications:*

• Must be an active LTC Aide on the OK Nurse Aide Registry
• Minimum one year experience in working with older adults as a personal care assistant preferred.
• Twelve (12) plus years of education preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years old, or older if required per the state regulations.
• Experience with dementia residents preferred.
• Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements.
• Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
