THE ROLE

You will provide professional urban planning services, including the preparation and lodgement of development applications, undertaking planning investigations and provision of planning advice to clients.

We have maintained consistent growth over the past 6 years and are keen to welcome another planner to our team.

This is a full time position in our Paddington office with onsite parking.

Working closely with Directors Mark Clayton and Mark Kierpal, you will build on your university studies and recent work experience, being responsible for:-

• Reviewing development sites and preparing initial planning advice to clients.
• Preparing and lodging basic development applications with Council and State Government.
• Undertaking property searches and site inspections.
• Preparing written submissions to Council and State Government.
• Attending client meetings, with a senior planner

YOU

With a strong focus on accuracy and professional development, you will have 1-2 years work experience in local Council or the private sector. With an inquisitive approach you will apply your strategic, conceptual and analytical skills as you take the next step in your career path.

You will be seeking a role in a close, collaborative team where you will be an integral part of the planning process. You will be a clear communicator and a service focused relationship builder who is keen to be challenged and grow with the firm.

Specifically, the essential competencies are:-

• Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills to identify planning issues and provide innovative solutions
• Results driven attitude and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Understanding of key planning instruments including Planning Schemes, Planning Act 2016 & Development Assessment Rules.
• Competent in the use of MS Office (particularly Word, Excel) and Adobe
• Effective task management and time management
• Open Drivers’ License
