Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing level 2 technical support for our cloud-based platform, Unify. Ensuring any incidents with our applications are investigated and resolved within the SLA timeframe. You will work alongside a Senior Support Engineer who will provide mentorship to assist with your ongoing development.

You will:

• Ensure the stability of the application, through overseeing day to day maintenance and health checks
• Effectively assess any incidents and provide a solution for incidents that cannot be managed by the L1 support team
• Perform root cause analysis and communicate the outcome to clients and internal stakeholders
• Implement change requests according to the change management framework
• Identify and implement improvements on how to address any recurring incidents, streamlining process as required

What are we looking for?

• Tertiary qualification in technology
• At least 6 months experience working within software/production support
• Experience with troubleshooting applications hosted on Linux OS and Web Servers
• Knowledge of Python, Linux, Unix and SQL
• Experience with Hadoop (desirable)
• Innovative and results focused
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work outside of normal working hours, when required
