• We are looking for someone who has a clear vision of what the best finance team globally are capable of and can bring this vision to life at Iress.
• First and foremost, this is a leadership role. You will be expected to inspire, coach and develop the team and to attract great new talent as needed. The role has influence well beyond direct reporting lines and will be central to achieving our ambitions as a global finance team and as a company.
• We are a listed company with a market cap of more than $2bn. This role is at the pointy end of the financial reporting, board, audit and governance responsibilities that come with being a listed company.
• In addition to financial reporting, the role is responsible for the Group FP&A function which includes near term budgets and forecasts as well as longer term strategy forecasting. Analysis to support M&A and investor relations also forms part of the FP&A function.
• This role is also responsible for managing lending arrangements, monitoring and managing treasury risks and optimising tax outcomes in the context of Iress’ risk appetite.
• Board reporting and technical accounting support (particularly in an M&A context) also form part of the role.

• Preparation of the annual and half year statutory reports and associated board, audit and governance activity. Involves coordination of financial control teams globally.
• Monthly financial close and reporting to the board. Again, this involves coordination of global financial control and FP&A teams.
• Management of Iress’ budgeting and forecasting cycle including longer term strategic forecasting.
• Treasury – cash management, FX and interest risk management, debt facilities, hedging instruments.
• Tax – manage relationships with advisors and tax authorities. Optimise tax outcomes in the context of risk appetite.
• Analysis to support board strategy, M&A and investor relations. Technical accounting support including M&A.
• Manage the group’s subsidiary structure to optimise efficiency, tax risk and treasury risks.
• Drive process improvement and develop team capability.
