POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Education and Quality Control is responsible for overseeing the Mentor and Education teams, providing guidance, instruction, direction, support, and leadership to achieve business goals. The Director of Education and Quality Control is also responsible for ensuring all projects meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Oversee the management of Mentor and Education teams by providing final approvals for task delegation, and final approvals for full-time and contract time sheets and similar
• Scrutinize, improve and maintain all departmental procedures and plans ensuring all processes are documented where necessary
• Lead the Mentor and Education Team in designing, implementing and upgrading courses, program, content and curriculum with a high level of organization and quality control to ensure premium output to maintain integrity for the University
• Complete quality check of all new course related content as required and provide approvals or delegate additional tasks where necessary
• Review all content where editing is required, such as blogs, course lessons, exams and more, with high level of detail and quality to ensure student comprehension
• Review and approve/reject any new recruits for the Mentor and Education Teams with the support of HR
• Oversee the onboarding process for the department
• Lead compliance efforts, research and procedures required as it pertains to certifying boards
• Review, measure and report on student and graduate success metrics to gain insight on performance and develop and implement motivation plans for any poor performing students
• Review and approve all departmental contracts
• Lead all Departmental Projects and delegate tasks as required

• Oversee day-to-day departmental operation
• Review and approve requests where required
• Monitor team performance and report on metrics monthly/quarterly/annually to the President and Founder
• Discover training needs and provide coaching where required
• Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
• Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
• Encourage creativity and a solutions driven work ethic

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Business, Education or a similar field
• Proven 5+ years in a high level management position
• Proven 5+ years experience successfully managing a team
• Extensive experience in project management
• Excellent attention to detail and exemplary written and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, under minimal supervision
• Advanced critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis skills
• Advanced skills in planning, organizing, and self-management
• Ability to facilitate collaboration, support, and approval from a variety of stakeholders
• Candidate must have reliable internet access
