About the Role

We are seeking a proactive finance professional with strong regulatory reporting exposure to support the Head Finance ANZ on a broad range of financial matters, including quarterly APRA return, performance forecasts and finance business partnering.

Your responsibilities will include (however, are not limited to):

  • Delivering quality and timely reporting of the underwriting results, ensuring regulatory and accounting compliance;
  • Providing robust analysis of results and underlying business drivers;
  • Assisting dynamic financial projections including capital planning, by proactively and effectively business partnering across the finance team and wider organisation;
  • Engaging with external partners (e.g., regulators, auditors, tax etc.);
  • Adding value to internal control framework and finance process efficiency; and
  • Contributing towards other financial projects as required by the Head Finance ANZ.

About the Team

The Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Australia & New Zealand Finance team comprises of the Head Finance ANZ and five Accountants who provide financial support to the local business unit.

About You

  • Degree qualification with CA/CPA full membership, or equivalent;
  • 5+ years relevant work experience, with proven APRA reporting experience in the general insurance industry; and
  • Solid understanding of AASB 1023 and IFRS 17 developments.
