Job Purpose:
You will undertake responsibility for the Management & Statutory Accounting, oversight of the IBA Operations and mantaining/improving the Financial Controls environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Production of the management reporting pack and responsibility for the month-end close process.

Preparation of the management accounts (Insurance and Non-Technical) reporting.

Own the balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with SOX controls.

Responsible for the budgeting/forecasting process, producing variance analysis and investigating and reporting any discrepancies.

Involvement in improving the finance systems; control framework, team development and general ledger transformation.

Preparation of annual statutory accounts under UK GAAP and FRS102 in line with deadlines.

Candidate Specification:

Qualified Accountant with a minimum of four years’ PQE.

Experience in the Lloyd’s and/or London Insurance Market – ideally from a Broker or MGA background.

Desirable to have experience with GAAP (UK or US) and SOX.
