IPAR Hiring for Financial Accountant Job at Melbourne Full Time

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Group Accountant, this role will undertake duties and responsibilities involved for all aspects of financial accounting functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Manage month end close including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis

2. Assisting with inter-company eliminations and consolidation of multiple entities

3. Assist Group Accountant in preparing monthly consolidated accounts and cash flow.

4. Monthly reporting to the US headquarters.

5. Providing assistance to non-Finance staff in the preparation of accounting data and accounting related functions as required

6. Assisting Business Unit managers with preparation of monthly forecasts and budget preparation annually.

7. Provide assistance in co-ordination of the audit process and working with the external auditors to prepare statutory accounts for all subsidiaries and the Group.

8. Implementation and keeping up-to date with applicable accounting standards and relevant tax legislation.

9. Strategic project work as required

Qualifications

To be successful the applicant will have:

1. Demonstrated experience of 3-5 years in an accounting role

2. A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance and/or relevant experience in these fields

3. CA/CPA qualification

4. Sound working knowledge of accounting systems and principles

5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and databases with a focus on MS Excel

6. Strong attention to detail and data entry skills

7. Demonstrated flexibility, accountability and ability to manage workload with tight deadlines

8. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills

9. Strong planning, time management and organisational skills
