Iowa College Aid Hiring for College Coach – AmeriCorps College Access & Success Program Job at Sheldon, IA Full Time

AmeriCorps members serve as college coaches, assisting college-intending and current college students in Iowa. College coaches support first-year college students as they adjust to college life through texting and virtual assistance. Coaches will focus specifically on Future Ready Iowa Scholarship recipients, ensuring students complete scholarship-eligibility requirements.

College coaches provide high school students and their families college-access assistance via texting and virtual assistance, assisting with the sometimes intimidating, college-going steps such as college applications and the FAFSA. Additionally, coaches are given the opportunity to collaborate with partner school districts in Iowa to expand and build capacity around Iowa College Aid’s college access program, Course to College.

College coaches will collaborate with school districts, community organizations and other college access professionals to promote scholarship and grant opportunities and ensure a smooth transition to and through college.

College coaches will receive training and professional/personal development during their term of service.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $13,200.00 per year
