Due to a new highway widening scheme in the North East Region this client is looking to recruit a Site Engineer to support the growth of the company in this area.

The Position

£20 Million Highway Widening Scheme 

They are currently seeking a Site Engineer to work on a £20 million Civils package on a large highway widening scheme. Works include structures, bulk earthworks, drainage and retained walls. Responsible for Setting out and is familiar with all the latest robotic equipment, being heavily involved in QA, Concrete testing and giving dig levels for excavation on ground works such as drainage, reporting directly into the Project Manager.

The project is part of a package of highways development schemes awarded by Highways England under its Regional Delivery Partnership (RDP) contract model. 

Scope of Works

• The works for the Phase 1 Infrastructure included:
• 2 million m³ cut and fill earthworks
• Excavation and re-engineering of approx. 1millionm³
• Rail bridge and rail embankment over new spine road
• Culvert construction under carriageways
• Foul water drainage
• Surface water drainage
• Utilities
• Landscaping
