The Finance Manager will assist the Financial Controller, Corporate Planning deliver optimum deliverables in the areas of compliance, management, financial and tax reporting relating to the Investa Management Platform.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Ensure the preparation and timely delivery of monthly management reports to various Business Unit heads across the Platform.
• Assist with the preparation of various Senior Management and Board reports, including review and analysis.
• Drive the annual budgeting process for the Platform, including overseeing the work performed by the Corporate Planning team.
• Prepare annual streamlined financial report of the group.
• Proactively drive and assist in the resolution of accounting technical matters and effectively interface with the Tax team regarding taxation matters.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation reporting and review of taxation matters across the group entities, including income tax, payroll tax and GST lodgements.
• Assist in the preparation of Board Papers relating to annual dividend payments.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analyse and review the reconciliations prepared by the team.
• Keep up to date with technical accounting and taxation matters relating to the Platform and assist in preparing accounting papers.
• Assist the Financial Controller in continual improvement of the accounting and tax reporting functions, including systems, reports and processes.

What you will need to be successful:

• Commerce or Business / Commerce Degree majoring in Accounting is essential
• Professional CA or CPA qualification
• Demonstrated experience in preparation of Statutory Reports and Income Tax Returns for Companies
• Experience within property sector is desirable
• Experience in dealing at the most senior level of an organisation
• Ability to think laterally about challenges and problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel and Word skills is essential
• Teamwork and team development both within direct team and a broader matrixed finance group
• Demonstrated negotiation & influencing skills at all levels
• Excellent knowledge of forecasting and reporting systems (Calumo and Voyager knowledge desirable but not essential)
• Good knowledge of company tax, including tax software (One Source knowledge desirable but not essential)
