Job Purpose (Job Summary):

As a Junior Portfolio Analyst you will support the Fixed Income Fund Managers in the implementation of the investment decisions, monitoring positions, assist in trading and provide other administrative support as directed by the Fund Managers.


Key Responsibilities / Duties:

    • Daily support of fixed income fund management in:
    • Modelling issuer/sector/duration exposures
    • Monitoring/rebalancing positions and cash balances
    • Trade booking / new issue security set-up, etc
    • Assist in contract rolls, FX rebalancing
    • Produce / maintain appropriate spreadsheets and other internal systems to support the investment process
    • Support in periodic reporting and presentation of data to internal or external clients (internal investment clients, sales/marketing or other teams) via written materials, conference calls, presentations, and internal meetings
    • Learn compliance and trading rules and limits
    • Help liaise with compliance, risk, performance, IT and other functional areas
    • Help in fixed income economics/macro research, as needed


Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Some prior experience in investment field preferred
  • Knowledge and interest in investment industry, especially in fixed income, macroeconomics, credit, and derivatives markets
  • Awareness of fund managements and/or risk management, portfolio construction, investment industry trends

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Strong technical skills, specifically CRD and Excel modelling
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Reliable, goal-oriented
  • Open-minded and team-orientation
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ideally, prior experience with Bloomberg and trading platforms
  • Keen interest and willingness to learn about Investment industry

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Bachelor/Master student in Finance/Economics/Accounting or related fields
  • Willing/ or in the process of CFA qualification
