JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Project Manager to join our organization. You will work with our team to deliver new websites, site updates and quick turnaround projects like banner and graphic designed print ads.

Our leadership team consists of a Digital Strategist, Engineering Manager, and Project Management team. We work together to manage all of the moving parts of the business at once. It is vital that our addition to the team is mindful of projects happening outside of their immediate scope of work and able to adjust as needed.

The ideal Project Manager will build feasible schedules and timelines for projects, have strong effective team communication, can manage client expectations, balance team work capacity, and is comfortable with digital technology in a rapidly moving environment. Our project scopes and priorities can shift rapidly and the ideal candidate can manage the sudden changes responsibly.

Our company is based in Ann Arbor, MI and we are semi-remote. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using multiple video conferencing tools, chat based tools such as Slack and Project Management tools such as Trello, Forecast IT or Jira. You are not expected to be a technical expert however having comfortability with modern internet technologies is necessary to succeed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead client communications
• Determine and define project scope and objectives

• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

• Identify and manage potential project risks
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Draft Statement of Work and Request for Change documents as needed

• Track project costs in order to meet budget

• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
• Work closely with the leadership team to manage shifts in scope, priority, or constraints on deliverables
• Effectively and mindfully communicate issues and changes as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field

• 1-3 years of project management or related experience

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Demonstrated ability to work cohesively within a team setting

• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

• Strong interpersonal skills and extreme attention to detail
• Effective communication and leadership skills

• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
