The International School of Texas is seeking an innovative Math Specialist for our middle school math program. With our small class sizes, we believe that it is important for students to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and transfer their learning to a wide range of contexts. We also believe that students should develop not only their logical, critical, and creative thinking skills, but also their confidence, perseverance, and independence. The Math Specialist will further this mission by delivering high-quality and engaging middle years math lessons that are focused around the IB MYP key concepts. Candidates should have experience with teaching through inquiry, constructivism, choice and collaborative learning.

Desired Qualifications

· Teaching certificate and degree (mandatory)

· At least 3 years of middles school math education experience (mandatory)

· Strong communication and collaboration skill

· IB experience is preferred
