International Interior Design Association Hiring for Continuing Education Manager Job at Chicago, IL Full Time

In conjunction with volunteers and the other member(s) of the Headquarters staff, the ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the planning of continuing education programs. The candidate will also responsible for working with Chapters to improve their ability to deliver high quality continuing education programs; developing Continuing Education policies and procedures for Members, and maintaining Continuing Education records for IIDA Members.

A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, management, business administration or other applicable 4-year completed degree. A minimum of 5 years association related work experience.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain IIDA as the profession’s premiere provider of continuing education programming.
• Through member surveys and other means, identify emerging areas for continuing education course development and manage tracking mechanisms.
• Work directly with IDCEC; as a representative to IIDA on the IDCEC Advisory Council, to ensure that the CE Registry and the IDCEC review and approval system maintains its programming in-line with the association’s vision and mission.
• Work with Educational Partners to ensure that their CEU offerings may be approved through IDCEC, includes administration of submissions, scheduling and reporting.
• Work with IIDA Staff to ensure that all educational programs are submitted to IDCEC for review and approval.
• Work directly with IIDA chapters to strengthen CEU program delivery channels.
• Maintain regular contact with Chapter Continuing Education officers regarding educational issues affecting members and to assist in developing and/or producing local course offerings.
• Work with IIDA’s Marketing and Communications Department to promote and/or publicize IIDA’s CEU course offerings via DesignMatters, and the IIDA website.
• Maintain Continuing Education records and identify any areas within the department to customize, so as to more effectively serve the IIDA Membership.
• Collect Continuing Education event programming from IIDA Chapters and work with HQ Content to have events posted to the website calendar/events page.
• Submit IDCEC CEU credited IIDA HQ programs for AIA CEU credit and manage the relationship with AIA as an Authorized Education Provider

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
