What You’ll Do
Develop Business Intelligence templates and frameworks from technical specifications.
Assist developing Data Warehouse ETL processes.
Previous experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack solutions.
Review and analyse ETL processing jobs to ensure completeness and data accuracy.
Create SSIS packages and stored procedures from business rules.
Work cross-functionally across the organization to fully understand business objectives and apply analytics in support of projects and to ensure efficient and effective problem solving and issue resolution.
Map reports and associated data subjects / entities to source systems and the data warehouse.
Leverage important information components and develop data definitions for various Data Models.
Drive process improvement through new analytic approaches and creative thinking.
Ensure understanding/knowledge of products, processes and procedures is at a level.
Remain current in business intelligence technologies and techniques.
Working with the identified business owners and other stakeholders.
Develop a clear understand of information needs from technical requirements.
What You Offer
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
Additional education, training or membership of organizations relevant to information technology Data Warehouse methodologies or other related fields is an asset.
TDWI Business Intelligence certification(s) is an asset.
Microsoft Business Intelligence certification(s) is an asset.
Tableau Server architecture knowledge is an asset.
Tableau Desktop hands-on experience building dashboards is an asset.
Power BI architecture knowledge is an asset.
Power BI hands-on experience building dashboards is an asset.
Experience with ServiceNow – IT Business Management Agile Development is an asset.
Experience with Confluence and JIRA is an asset.
Experience working with version control system TFS would be an asset.
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in working with data sets.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Agile training is an asset.
Lumber industry and related experience is an asset.
At least 5 years working with Microsoft SQL Server DBMS.
At least 2 years working with Microsoft Business Intelligence software; SSIS, SSAS.
Strong T-SQL coding expertise executing complex transformations.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work with a wide variety of people both internally and externally.
Highly organized with the ability to work on many different projects/initiatives simultaneously and with minimum supervision.
Fast learner with a high sense of urgency and welcomes challenges.
Superior attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to identify issues that pose risks to the success of initiatives.
A proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
