We are Lucid – a consumer Energy Intelligence platform, providing deep AI insights that help consumers do their bit for the environment. Our software solutions provide commercial network partners with deep consumer energy insights, novel new services and a marketplace for our B2B energy and utility customers across multiple markets. We use leading-edge AI, analytics and disaggregation techniques to profile supply and demand energy in the home, providing consumers and businesses with real-time, granular insights. This empowers our customers with new data-driven products and services, via a gamified app, tailored to dynamic consumer energy usage behaviour that results in identifying actionable insights for energy businesses and recommendations to their consumers to increase efficiency, mitigate risks, save costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

Role summary

We’ve successfully trialled and launched with a number of clients, and are now looking to expand our team as we move into the next phase of growth. In this role, you will partner with fellow Data Scientists, Software Developers and Architects in developing and applying ML expertise for novel solutions within control and optimisation of domestic energy use, with a particular focus on EV charging suppliers and Insurers.

Responsibilities

· Independently and effectively engage with external and internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to solve critical business problems with the application of AI

· Design and deploy ML models for our products

· Apply all phases of the data science process from data exploration and processing to model training and testing

· Contribute to AI product development and key Data Science research areas

What we’re looking for

• Have completed several commercial ML or Data Projects
• Essential to have previously worked with Rapidminer
• Have experience with energy disaggregation algorithms
• Relevant graduate or postgraduate level education
• Willing to think outside the box and embrace faster, better methods to produce a particular result
• Have excellent communication skills
• Highly motivated and driven
• Can work independently and at pace using their own initiative;
• Have passion! For our company, our customers, our vision, and your own development;
• Experience integrating into low code mobile app development platforms such as OutSystems is preferred, but not necessary
• Present compelling commercial insight from a data set within 1-2 days
• Interpret data science models based on commercial outcomes
• Contribute to the discussion around areas of thought-leading research
• Be able to describe their solution as an MVP and guide clients through the value to end consumers
