Intel Hiring for Software Engineer at Toronto, ON Full Time

The Programmable Solutions Group’s Custom Logic engineering (CLE) team is building industry leading FPGAs and accompanying CAD software. Intel’s PSG’s latest FPGA devices contain billions of transistors and continue to grow in size and complexity. In SW, this creates a challenge to model device data efficiently in memory and runtime. Furthermore, FPGA development frameworks need to coordinate terabytes of continually evolving data, which requires best-in-class software tools & processes. In this role, you will develop software to solve these challenges for Intel’s next-generation FPGAs.

As part of the Software Power Team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Developing customer facing Power and Thermal Analysis tools for the latest generation Intel FPGAs

Implementing new SW features to enhance user experience in addition to SW optimizations to improve runtime and memory

Developing SW models of various HW components that are data driven and runtime/memory efficient

Cross-functional interactions with various teams (internal and external)

Root-cause and fix customer issues, while maneuvering your way through a large code base

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by Q1 2022

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of total experience (MS with 2+ years or PhD’s will also be considered) inclusive of:

Experience in C/C++ development

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with code quality/optimization

Experience with scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, TCL)

Experience with runtime and memory analysis of algorithms
