Job Description:

Electrical Controls Engineer to design system controls by developing and testing components, specifications, and engineering methods. Candidate MUST have experience with Rockwell PLC programming.

Note: The position is in Vancouver, Washington, and relocation assistance is available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Meet customer expectations by clear and concise two-way communication.

2. Design and evaluate systems and products by applying sound principles of power management, system/component control, and human/machine interface.

3. Maximize the efficiency of the department by successfully accomplishing projects within the allotted time frame with a focus on avoiding any non-value-added word or re-work

4. Determine improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in a customer environment, engineering, or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

Software Required

Rockwell PLC’s

Rockwell Logix PLC Controls (RS Logix5000)

Nice to have skills:

a. Software and programming experience for PLC and HMI

b. Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel,Outlook)

c. AutoCAD (Inventor preferred)

e. Experience with Visual Basic a plus.

Abilities

a. Ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables, as well as have a high level of creative thinking ability.

Required Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering

· 4 -7 years relevant experience

· Interest in PC supervisory controls for equipment and/or process controls

· Has a process control background

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
