Integrated Human Capital Hiring for Production Control Specialist Full Time

SUMMARY

The Production Control Specialist role is to ensure the efficient supply of raw materials for an uninterrupted production run of our process.

Responsibilities include: Planning and coordinating the resources and activities required to efficiently guarantee the supply of raw materials to the production process to meet customer requirements; actively participate and engage in the key process indicator review to identify opportunity areas for improvement in order to exceed customer and FORMA internal goals and expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Leads in the administration of controls in PC Operations.
• Ensures the full and correct use of ERP system for all transactions.
• Owns the management and improvement of KPI metrics such as: Inventory management (cost, turns, DOH, accuracy); Supplier delivery scores, Obsolescence avoidance/Engineering change implementation; MRP incidents; Logistic costs.
• Drives continuous improvement thru KPI data and problem solving.
• Establishes and monitors metrics for system performance management.
• Performs process walks with the leadership team in order to identify and eliminate abnormal / improvement conditions.
• Coordinates, and expedites the flow of work and materials.
• Plans and coordinates material flow from internal and external suppliers to and from facility.
• Prioritizes and sequences work, executing work plans and implementing controls.
• Resolves problems and troubleshoots shipment, product, and/or parts issues and provides appropriate counter measures.
• Performs administrative activities for Team Members ing to PC Specialist.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High level knowledge of ERP systems
• Material planning using MRP
• Master production scheduling in ERP systems • Deal effectively with complex and sensitive issues.
• Ability to think in the abstract and see how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
• Effective observation skills and problem-solving ability.
• Communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in course of work.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• One year experience required in the automotive industry as a Material Planner, Production Scheduler or any other related position

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. However, we prefer the following:

• Recent automotive ERP systems experience
• Three years of direct experience in production control, material planning, production scheduling, or any other related position
• Require proficiency with Microsoft Office computer applications including (Excel, Word and Access)
• Utilize databases or manage large data files
• Automotive supplier experience
• Familiarity with 5S activity
• Problem solving certification
• APICS Certification preferred
