HR Co-Ordinator

Your purpose in the Role

Provide structure to, and deliver, HR and People activities in rapidly scaling organisation to ensure we are all in the best position to continuously innovate in graphene-based applications.

What you will do and how you will succeed:

• Using our core values and centre this into onboarding and everyday experience for our people
• Work alongside the People and Programme Manager to deliver departmental Key Results alongside the day-to-day HR activities:

• Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
• Ensure compliance with employee record-keeping and data privacy requirement
• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
• Assist with performance management procedures.
• Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
• Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
• Coordinate the roll out of new initiatives or processes
• Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
• Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.

Who we are looking for:

• Experience as an HR Assistant with coordination responsibilities (essential).
• Exposure to UK employment law
• Effective HR administration and people management skills.
• Exposure to payroll practices.
• Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience based skills

• HND/Bachelor’s in Human resource Management and/or CIPD qualification to level 5 (desirable not essential)
• Knowledge in UK Visa and Immigration Services is desirable
• Recruiting and retaining in specialist skill areas (technical, scientific or academic) is highly desirable
• A interest in marketing, and how social media forms an important part of a recruitment strategy
• Demonstrable experience in supporting change (policies, organisational behavioural expectations and use of systems)

This role is offered with full flexibility, and the role will be offered part-time, the exact details of the days and hours worked can be agreed. Hybrid working is welcome.

In addition to a competitive salary, 33 days annual leave (statutory days included) pro rata and flexible working hours.
