Software Engineer – Full Remote option

Integrated Auction Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer with a focus on frontend React development. Our headquarters is in the Columbus, OH area so a hybrid option is available for locals, but most of our engineering team is fully remote so this role is open to engineers located anywhere in the US!

Software Engineer – Job Overview

We are looking for a full stack Software Engineer who can interpret requirements, write clean, functional code and provide our customers with intuitive user interfaces. This role is responsible for identifying technical debt, researching and prototyping for new features and new technology, and advocating for necessary technical changes. We also expect this individual to collaborate with peers and mentor junior developers as the need arises.

Software Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product, engineering and QA teams to estimate work
• Review functional requirements and create functional, maintainable code that meets them
• Gain business knowledge of our applications and suggest technical improvements
• Partner with the QA team to prioritize code quality
• Complete biweekly sprint work and help team meet long term roadmap goals
• Peer review teammates’ code to both learn from and teach others
• Identify gaps in software engineering development, build, security, release processes
• Troubleshoot emergent defects and incoming support requests

Software Engineer – Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to research, problem solve, and work independently
• Highly organized, detail-oriented leader
• Customer focus
• Technical background working as a Software Engineer for 3+ years
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Methodology
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong skills in UI development, preferably with React
• Background in design and development of internal and external APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design principles
• Experience with distributed version control (Git)
• Exposure to native mobile app development on iOS, Android is nice to have (React-Native preferred)

Our Tools & Tech:

We use GSuite, Slack, GitHub and Jira to manage our workload. We have several applications in our portfolio but are primarily a .NET shop using MS SQL Server (AWS RDS), MySQL, Postgres, ElasticSearch, Algolia, and React, all hosted in AWS and GCP and deployed in containers.

Our Interview Process:

Our interview process consists of 3-4 rounds beginning with an initial video screen with our Director of Engineering followed by various roles within the company including a minimum 2-person panel with software developers. All candidates must participate via audio/video chats (Zoom).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
