Customer Service Representative

Long-term contract position, 3+ years.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Support all phases of the paratransit eligibility process for Access Link including but not limited to taking phone calls and responding in real-time to customer inquiries in a high-volume “ONE CALL RESOLUTION” call center setting.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate information in the customer database by responding to information provided via phone, email, and mail.
  • Assist new and current customers with understanding new technology and initiatives.
  • Assist with making referrals for Travel Instruction and all other projects related to the paratransit eligibility process.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Answer and respond to customer phone calls in a high-volume call center setting.
  • Schedule telephone or in-person interviews.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate customer data.
  • Follow-up with requests for assistance with registering to vote and/or participating in other initiatives.
  • Follow-up with customers who have requested referrals for travel instruction.
Position is ON-SITE full-time Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish – REQUIRED. Need to read, write and speak Spanish AND English at a 12th-grade level.
  • Ability and desire to work with a team responsible for educating people with disabilities about available transportation options, required.
  • Excellent writing skills, are required.
  • Knowledge of computers is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently required.
  • Ability to travel to and from locations in NJ that may not be accessible by public transportation, required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with people with disabilities, is desired.
  • Customer service experience, public speaking, and knowledge of transportation are desirable.
