ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production operation and management

• Plan, organize and supervise daily & weekly production plan to ensure customers’ demand are met
• Delegate functions to subordinate to accomplish production schedule and departmental goals & objectives
• Develop and complete operation reports of production activities for financial analyzing and managing purpose
• Coordinate closely with Production Planning to ensure adherence to production schedules
• Coordinate closely with Engineering on equipment maintenance, product changes and new product introductions
• Coordinate with Materials/Purchasing to ensure raw material and departmental supply needs are met
• Provide updates to Operations Manager in regards to shift performance and key metrics

Production team building and development

• Communicate and implement company policy and procedures with personnel
• Maintain adequate qualified staff support for production schedule requirements
• Establish and implement cross train plan for key position and main equipment
• Handle disciplinary needs, attendance and individual subordinate matters

Product Quality and Regulatory control

• Coordinate with QA/QC on issues related to product quality and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Direct, monitor and supervise production process to make sure quality standards met with SOP, GMP and FDA regulation
• Ensure production activity compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP and ISO) and good housekeeping

Lean & Continuous Improvement

• Organize daily tiered meeting and monitor hourly output on main production station via Lean principle
• Ensure product conform to quality standards, identify product and process quality problems, initiate and implement continuous improvement solution
• Manage on-going cost reduction and continuous improvement programs to the manufacturing process

Environment Health and Safety

• Coordinate closely with EH&S Director to achieve company and departmental goal
• Promote safety awareness and keep participate in committees and teams of EH&S
• Monitor and collaborate to ensure employee, property and production activity in clean, safe and sound manner

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Mechanical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience;

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a production environment with high speed packing machines in Medical Device Mfg / Pharma

Excellent communication skills

Experience reading, interpreting, and writing work instructions and procedures;

Ability to give and welcome constructive feedback; contribute to building a positive team spirit.

Knowledgeable in the following areas: knowledge of MS Office Suite, Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) paperwork (Bills of Materials (BOMs), Pick Lists, Routing

Labor tracking/Materials tracking, production planning, quality system regulations, problem solving skills, process improvement techniques and Food and Drug Administration (FDA), ISO Standards, GMP

Excellent problem solving and mechanical aptitude

Sound knowledge of Lean Principles/Manufacturing
