Insurity’s next Developer

As part of Insurity’s R&D team, you will design and implement applications using ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and SQL. Your primary role will be to support and improve functionality to existing applications and design new solution features and support internal staff and customers that use our applications.

What You’ll Do:

• Research and correct issues and errors in our applications
• Add new functionality to our applications
• Support customers that report errors or work-stoppages
• Support internal team members by researching and answering technical questions about various aspects of our applications
• Craft and develop automated tools to replace existing manual processes
• Work with existing Premium Audit and Loss Control development team

Who You Are:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or similar
• 2+ years of pertinent work experience using ColdFusion, SQL and related web technologies
• Proven record of translating business problems into code, including writing modular, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Experience with Agile based software development
• Expertise in object-oriented design methodology
• Excellent understanding of ColdFusion fundamentals, data structures and algorithms
• Experience with programming language Microsoft T-SQL
• Comfortable advocating for improvements including tech debt
• Comfortable working collaboratively through technical standards compliance and code reviews
• Proven track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Written and oral English communication
• Ability to travel to meet the team up to 10%*
