Instrumentation and Controls, LLC (IAC) is a manufacturer’s representative (rep) that specializes in instrumentation, process controls, valves, actuators, safety systems, as well as engineered systems.

From simple to complex applications, IAC offers a broad scope of products and services in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation to customers in the oil and gas, mining, chemical, environmental, life science, food & beverage, and water & wastewater markets in Arizona, New Mexico, El Paso, Texas, and Clark County, Nevada.

JOB TITLE:

Strategic Account Manager- Mining Industry Focus

JOB SUMMARY:

In this position, you will promote and sell the products and services currently represented by IAC. You will be a trusted consulting business partner to customers, building relationships and rapport with them, helping to determine their current and future needs (including providing solutions to their problems by utilizing your technical expertise in applying IAC’s products). Moreover, you will be a liaison between the customer and company and develop a deeper understanding of the customer’s processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with end user reps such as engineers or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments to provide solutions to customers and act as a trusted advisor in applying our products to their application needs
• Review specifications, application requirements, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates, and benefits, for the client’s use of proposed equipment or services
• Prepare or propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations
• Provide technical support to customers, technology and product overviews/seminars to groups
• Develop and grow a territory by generating product sales, service and training, and actively maintain CRM database
• Prepare and provide forecast, targets, plans and sales s as needed and follow up with customers to review quotations, ensure we have met all their expectations, and resolve any complaints.
• Remain current on consumer preferences by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, or reading trade journals.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree in a technical field or business concentration as a minimum.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
• At least 2 years of strategic sales and customer development experience in a related industry
• Have a good understanding of general process operations (recognize limitations of technologies, recognize competitive limitations, and recognize potential problems at a customer’s plant)
• Solid presentation, relationship-building and influencing skills, strong technical aptitude, product knowledge, and the ability to handle rejection well
• Ability to achieve technical proficiency in flow, engineered process solutions, including but not limited to instrumentation, valves, bulk handling equipment, telemetry, and hard-wired communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and effective time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Travel required

JOB LOCATION:

Work from home and travel to customers. Territory includes eastern Arizona and western New Mexico (Silver City Area).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May require long periods of traveling in a car or plane.

Possible long periods of standing/walking.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
