We manufacture and market prestressed PC-strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates ten manufacturing facilities in eight states.

About You

The person we are looking for has a strong foundation in customer credit management and collection activities. A person with great judgment, initiative, and the ability to deal with complex factors. The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives while working in a professional, yet casual, work environment.

Position Snapshot

The Credit Manager leads the credit and collection activities and supervises the activities of the Credit Services Department This person is a key member of the financial leadership team and will have three direct reports. To be successful in this role you will:

• Investigate the credit worthiness of potential and current customers.
• Analyze the information gathered and make decisions consistent with the current needs of the company in order to generate maximum profits with minimum risks.
• Set up and update credit limits.
• Maintain customer credit files.
• Approve sales orders and shipments.
• Work with sales and any other departments necessary to take care of the customer’s needs.
• Report to management and sales on the account status of customers. Reports should be periodically as well as on an as-needed basis.
• Plan and make collection calls to customers for money due and follow up on a timely basis.
• Participate in sales’ training programs for new employees.
• Place accounts for collection with collection agency and/or attorney when needed.
• Work with the collection agency, attorney, and bankruptcy court as necessary.
• Create and implement a team environment both within and outside the department which will create an opportunity for improvement opportunities.
• Develop consistent, effective, and efficient activities and policies in how services are provided to customers through credit management, invoicing, claims management, and accounts receivable management.

Qualifications to be considered for the role:

• Extensive professional training (Bachelor’s Degree) in Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience with extensive knowledge of the credit function.
• Experience leading a team of professionals.
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.

Pay: $72,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
