We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Digital team in Melbourne on a permanent basis. The role will see you focus on streamlining key touch points across the business by designing and building improvements and efficiencies. This exciting opportunity would suit an experienced BA who enjoys designing client-centric solutions and has a strong understanding of data analysis. 

Inspiring Vacations work in project-based sprints in small, multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will promote Agile mindsets, values, and behaviours, and have a passion for designing user stories with detailed functional requirements. You will help the software development team to identify and mitigate problems early in the process. Naturally, you will be detail-orientated and enjoy developing and executing great functional design.

This role will see you take on important responsibilities in supporting the technology and development team on a new and exciting technology improvement project. You will leverage your skills to support the functional design of creative technology solutions to solve real business problems and build out comprehensive testing plans to ensure we meet our quality expectations.  

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct business problem assessment, requirements discovery, leading interviews and workshops to explore and define requirements
• Work with Product Owners to Elicit, analyse, and document requirements.
• Work with multiple divisions to understand the business needs and analyse processes and document these as user stories to be consumed by the development team
• Creating user guides and other documentation
• Build out clear test plans for the project and its user stories
• Help to resolve any blockers that the development team encounters.
• Conducting comprehensive QA to ensure requirements have been met to deliver satisfactory outcomes
• Create tickets and full functional user stories taking a user-centric approach to the design based on product owner epic. 
• Review current systems and functionality to optimise for users and improve usability

What you’ll need to join our close-knit, collaborative team:

• 6+ years as a Business Analyst role within technology/ecommerce 
• Hold relevant tertiary qualification/s in Information Technology or equivalent
• Proven experience in preparing high-quality written s and presentations that clearly articulate the issues and proposed solutions, in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment
• Thorough understanding of service design process & activities 
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Proven experience in supporting business transitions as a BA and helping establish change
• Ability to work quickly and effectively with internal teams to deliver high-quality outputs and deliverables 
• Experience working in Scrum teams 
• Strong data analysis skills will be highly regarded 
• Personalisation/AI project experience will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation and writing skills
• Strong commitment and desire to model business process improvements 
• Strong understanding of operational functionalities and identify opportunities to streamline them 
• Positive attitude, highly motivated with agility to work in an evolving, fast-paced business
