Junior Software Engineer – .NET (office-based)

We are looking for Junior Software Engineers to join one of our dynamic, Product based, cross-functional delivery teams. The successful applicant will love to problem solve and will be able to learn and work at “internet speed,” within a fast-paced delivery environment.

Our application stack is built around Microsoft tooling, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET 4.8, AngularJS/React, Microsoft SQL Server, WCF/WebAPI and ASP.NET MVC. Our development methodology is largely based on an agile approach through software design, implementation and project management techniques.

This role will be office-based – the successful applicant will therefore need to live within reasonable proximity to our office in Cardiff.

Key responsibilities:

· Software design, coding and testing features and system components, using agreed standards and tools.

· Work with product owners, testers, analysts and architects within an Agile team to deliver application features end-to-end.

· Identify and resolve issues with applications, following agreed procedures.

· Use application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics, e.g. load testing. Carry out agreed applications maintenance tasks.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

· Degree in Maths, Physics, Astrophysics, Computer Science or related discipline.

· Knowledge of C# and the .NET framework.

· Have a genuine interest for software development.

· Be curious and enthusiastic about learning new skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
