INOVA Systems Corporation Hiring for Computer Assembly Technician at Calgary, AB Full Time

INOVA is seeking a Computer Assembly Technician to join our team. This role will report to the Production Manager and will be a key member of systems hardware group. The technician will be working with the systems engineers, and responsible for assembling and verifying the operation of assembled hardware by following an assembly work instruction and test plan.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for the assembling and functional testing of custom PC and other systems hardware
• Software installation and settings
• Assisting in assembly of electronic parts
• Documenting new processes, as well as modifying existing work instructions

• Troubleshooting new assemblies to ensure the client receives the highest quality product
• Analyzing test data

Education and Experience:

• Strong understanding of computer assembly, relevant work experience a plus
• Strong understanding of PC hardware

• Experience in board level testing and trouble- shooting experience in a manufacturing environment

· Previous exposure to standard electronic testing hardware

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within an electronics manufacturing environment
• Ability to read schematics and grasp technical content easily
• Must be able to perform some physically demanding tasks
• Organized self-starter with proven time management skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Working knowledge of tools such as MS Word, MS-Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
• Must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and oriented towards task completion
• Able to work as part of a team, offer ideas and perspective willingly

• Ability to solder

Physical Requirements:

• Move heavy seismic equipment/heavy cables
• Lift up to 50 lbs
