Job Description: VP of Engineering

Job overview

As VP of Engineering, you will work closely with IPH’s, CFO, President, engineering teams, and other internal partners to build scalable systems and integration to augment, manage, and protect our members’ health data.

As an accountable member, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, clinical, operations, and sales and marketing through the complete product development lifecycle.

This is a unique role that will test your skills and expose you to all facets of our business while we rapidly scale and expand our offering.

Job description:

• Lead the day-to-day product initiatives as the product owner of an agile engineering (in-person/remote mix) software development and testing team
• Demonstrated ability to own technical products that serve a large and distributed set of internal customers. Passion for and knowledge of high-quality software development practices for building scalable and highly available platforms
• Lead definition of product design requirements and scope of work
• Partner with product management team to meet or exceed all committed Product and Platform timelines
• Plan and execute development items including, prioritization, resource planning/allocation, timeline and prioritization justification
• Bring these to market through ownership of the product development process
• Communicate progress to management including performance metrics
• Lead, grow, and motivate engineering teams to execute with quality and efficiency
• Manage the team capacity of 5-10 team members
• Ability to make data-driven business decisions
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to contribute with hands-on software development a bonus

Requirements:

• 8 years software development team management experience – a mix of early and mature stage companies is a plus. Experience in digital health is a big plus
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
